2019 Rural Women’s Awards
The team at Data Divas where honoured this month to attend the inaugural Rural, Regional, Remote Women’s Network Conference ‘Stronger’ in Perth WA. The conference was the first chance for our remote team to meet face-to-face since the inception of Data Divas, providing us with valuable team building and many networking opportunities.
Attendance at this event allowed us an insightful glimpse into the vital role of women in rural and remote areas of Western Australia, and the challenges they face in their professional, and personal lives.
These insights reflected the overall cultural shift of modern Australian women in business today. With a wide range of speakers from diverse backgrounds, the stories, business triumphs and demonstrations of leadership on display were truly inspirational.

The principal of the ‘Stronger’ theme resonated with us as Divas: Opportunity, equity, connection to the community, and aspiring higher achievements are driving principles of Data Divas. More than just a business providing IT solutions, Data Divas is a socially minded enterprise enabling women to up-skill and retain employment regardless of location or circumstance.
Run in conjunction with the conference was the announcement of the Western Australian AgriFutures Rural Women’s Awards winner. We are extremely proud to say Leah Boucher, founder and CEO of Data Divas, was a finalist for her work in connecting rural women with employment and supporting regional associations through her innovative business model.
We want to offer a huge congratulations to 2019 Award winner Belinda Lay. We are excited to see how Belinda’s project collecting data on her flock progresses!
